Build a Shortcut named Turner Grocery Sync in Apple's Shortcuts app:
- Add Split Text. Set the text to Shortcut Input and the separator to New Lines.
- Add Repeat with Each, using the result from Split Text.
- Inside the repeat, optionally use Find Reminders to check whether an incomplete reminder with that exact title already exists in your grocery list. Only when none exists, use Add New Reminder with title Repeat Item in your existing shared grocery list. The duplicate check is recommended.
- Save the Shortcut exactly as Turner Grocery Sync. Make sure iCloud Reminders is enabled.
- Open this website in Safari on the iPhone, mark a few items Low or Out, and tap Send to Apple Reminders.
The first time, iOS may ask for permission to access Reminders. If you and Kelly each use the site, both phones need the Shortcut. Your shared Reminders list will sync added items automatically.
The website only marks an item as sent after you explicitly confirm. Items marked Purchased stay in your staples list and are taken off the grocery queue. In shared mode, check-in changes are synced between devices. If you use local preview mode, they remain on the current device.
